VJTI honored at the IBM TGMC 2010 felicitation ceremony
At the felicitation ceremony of ‘The Great Mind Challenge 2010’ by IBM, held on 15th November 2011, at the Leela Palace, New Delhi, VJTI received 5 awards.
The Great Mind Challenge (season 2010) is a nation-wide software development contest that saw record participation from 1,50,000 students and faculty members from 2,000 Indian colleges, submitting a total of 3000 projects. The competition has been registered by Limca Book of records for the largest software development competition.
Top 30 Colleges Award: VJTI is among the top 30 colleges all over India for student participation. VJTI has been receiving this award for four consecutive years.

Project: Active City Administration
Abstract :
"Active City Administration" is a system which provides an user-friendly online interface for the citizens to communicate with the administrative body, reducing the distance and time barrier between the citizens and the administration. This system also acts as an online platform where people can share their ideas, invoke discussions, issue complaints and can create suggestion/petitions for the improvement of the city. Use of such system would encourages the citizens to actively participate in city administration and to bring more transparency, flexibility in the administration.

Project: Online Shopping Portal
Abstract: The aim to this application is to provide a one-stop shopping assistant to all users (novice/expert) alike. This would reduce users' burden of sifting through a large number of various products in the market. Instead, the user can specify the product specifications and the system gives a list of products matching the criteria and redirect users to the appropriate web-sites that offer to sell the product.
