Technical Education Quality Improvement Program (TEQIP)
The Technical Education Quality Improvement Program of Government of India aims to upscale and support ongoing efforts of Government of India to improve quality of technical education and enhance existing capabilities of the institutions to become dynamic, demand driven, quality conscious, efficient and forward looking, responsive to rapid economic and technological developments occurring both at National and International levels.

Broad objectives of the Program are to create an environment in which engineering institutions selected under the Programme can achieve their own targets for excellence and sustain the same with autonomy and accountability, support development plans including synergistic networking and services to community and economy for achieving higher standards and to improve efficiency and effectiveness of the technical education management system. The effort would provide a flexible platform to well performing institutions to acquire excellence in specialized areas and emerge as world-class institutions.

VJTI has been selected as a lead institute under this program. The institute shall receive a funding to the tune of Rs.220 million during a period of 36 months. It has started receiving funds under this program. The institute shall be establishing new laboratories in hi tech areas as well as modernizing its existing laboratories and workshops

VJTI has received a world bank funding under Technical Education Quality Improvement Programme (TEQIP) for modernizing, developing new laboratories, improving quality of engineering education.
